Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comments form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string to help detect spam.
An anonymised string (hash) of your e-mail address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture becomes visible to the public alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images, please avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract that location data from any images on the site.
Cookies
- Comment cookies: If you leave a comment you may opt-in to saving your name, e-mail and website in cookies. These last one year for your convenience.
- Login cookies: A temporary cookie checks if your browser accepts cookies when you visit the login page. When you log in, we set cookies to save your login info (two days) and screen-display choices (one year). Selecting “Remember Me” extends login cookies to two weeks. Logging out removes them.
- Editor cookies: Editing or publishing an article sets an extra cookie containing the post ID—no personal data—expiring after one day.
